Executive Assistant

 

IDC is seeking an experienced executive assistant. IDC is a non-profit dance company that provides dance training, community arts education and performance opportunities for youth in the Indianapolis area. The position has a major role within the company as they are responsible for managing office business and assisting the Executive Director of the company.

Job Responsibilities

The E.A. is responsible for daily clerical duties within the administration office. He/she will also manage the company membership database and reports. The E.A. directly reports to the Executive Director and Artistic Director of the company. The E.A.'s is directly responsible for the daily management of client accounts specific to payments, enrollments, and adjustments. The E.A. also assist in preparation for upcoming meeting, engagements and the planning of company event/fundraisers. E.A. duties also include

 

  • Community Outreach Communication

  • Manage Annual Giving Campaigns

  • Production Administration

  • Annual Revenue/Expense Reports

  • Executive Board engagement

  • Project Management

  • Payment Processing

  • New Hire Onboarding Coordinator

  • New Parent Orientation

  • Semester Internship Program

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be self-motivated

  • Must be detailed oriented and have a talent for creating systems

  • Must be well spoken

  • Must be familiar with MS Office, Google Docs, Powerpoint, Excel/Sheets

  • Must be able to work well with others

  • Leadership skills

  • Must be a supporter of the arts  

  • Must open to working some evenings and weekends

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree

Teaching Artist

 

Iibada Dance Company (IDC) is seeking Teaching Artist for our upcoming fiscal year. Teaching Artist is our dance instructors who teach within our dance educational program which are housed in our partnering schools. We need Teaching Artist who are proficient in ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, hip hop, jazz, and African dance. IDC is growing and new opportunities are on the horizon for us and we need experienced dance professionals to move this forward. Job Responsibilities

 

Our Teaching Artist is our dance education instructors that will teach from a curriculum that pushes rigor, dance education and the fundamentals of movement. Our curriculum is designed to educate students from a world dance perspective. Giving students the opportunity to explore dance history, it’s current trends and  

Job requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be technically proficient in the dance style(s) instructing

  • Must have the ability to work with children

  • Must be self-starter

  • Must be organized and structured in teaching practices

  • BFA in dance is preferred but not required

  • Must have a strong presence within the classroom

  • Discipline must be apparent within your teaching style

  • Must be able to produce choreography for two recitals each school year

 

 

After School Program Instructors

 

Iibada Dance Company (IDC) is seeking After School Program Instructors for our upcoming Spring season. Our after-school instructors teach within our I.Dance community education program which is housed in our partnering schools. We are seeking instructors who are proficient in ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, hip hop, jazz, and African dance. IDC is growing and new opportunities are on the horizon for us and we need experienced dance professionals to move this forward. Our after-school instructors are dance education instructors that will teach from a curriculum that pushes rigor, dance education and the fundamentals of movement. Our curriculum is designed to educate students from a world dance perspective and give them a cultural experience that will inspire further enrichment in the future.

 

Job requirements

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be technically proficient in the dance style(s) instructing

  • Must have the ability to work with children

  • Must be self-starter

  • Must be able to work within the hours of 2 pm to 5 pm

  • Must be organized and structured in teaching practices

  • BFA in dance is preferred but not required

  • Must have a strong presence within the classroom

  • Discipline must be apparent within your teaching style

  • Must be able to produce choreography for the end of the program
