34 YEARS OF

IGNITING THE ARTS IN INDIANAPOLIS

"One thing that sets Iibada apart from other dance companies is its focus on African dance and really learning where we come from and the history of dance and how much it has influenced so many dance styles in the world"

Founded in 1989 by Sabra Logan, Iibada Dance Company has served the Indianapolis community for over 34 years. We have earned our roots as a pillar in the community and we want to take our programming to neighborhoods throughout the Indianapolis region. Your contribution will help artistically enrich youth in underserved areas, provide tuition assistance for deserving families, and support after-school programming for partnering schools throughout Indianapolis

Our Founder

A Vision Built To Last

Founded in 1989 by Sabra Logan, Iibada Dance Company has served over 3 generation of youth in the Indianapolis community. Sabra Logan was born in Baltimore, Maryland where she developed her love and passion for the art of dance. Her family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana where she eventually founded iibada Dance Company out the need to expose youth to African and Modern Dance. Starting in the basement of Mount Zion Baptist Church, she started with just 10 students and built the program that is standing stronger than ever today. Sabra Logan is the foundation of the 34 year legacy her organization was founded upon. Although she is stepping down as Executive Director, she is very much still involved as the organizations Executive Advisor and Board member.
